মিথ্যা বলা বা সত্যের বিপরীত যে কোন কথা হল কুৎসিত এবং তা বর্জনীয়। আর এটা শয়তানের অন্যতম ধারালো অস্ত্র। মিথ্যা বলা কবীরা গুনাহ। মিথ্যাবাদী হচ্ছে মানব সমাজের বড় দুশমন।
মিথ্যাবাদীদের সম্পর্কে আল্লাহ্ বলেন, “নিশ্চয় তারাই মিথ্যা আরোপ করে যারা আল্লাহ্র নিদর্শনসমূহে বিশ্বাস করে না;এবং প্রকৃতপক্ষে তারাই হল মিথ্যাবাদী” (সূরা নাহল: ১০৫)
নবী সঃ বলেন: “কপটতার দরজাসমূহের একটি দরজা হল মিথ্যা”। (তানবীহ আল খাওয়াতীর,পৃ. ৯২)
নবীজি সঃ এও বলেছেন: “এটি একটি বড় বিশ্বাসঘাতকতা যে, তুমি তোমার ভাইয়ের সাথে কথা বল এবং সে তোমাকে বিশ্বাস করে, অথচ তুমি তাকে মিথ্যা বলছ”। (আত তারগীব,৩য় খণ্ড,পৃ. ৫৯৬)
মহানবী সঃ তাও বলেছেন যে: “মিথ্যা হতে দূরে থাকো। কারণ, মিথ্যা ঈমান থেকে দূরে সরিয়ে দেয়”। (কানজুল উম্মাল,৩য় খণ্ড,হাদীস নং ৮২০৬)
তেমন কি মহানবী সঃ বলেন: “যখন কোন বান্দা মিথ্যা কথা বলে তখন তার মিথ্যা কথনের দুর্গন্ধের কারণে রহমতের ফেরেশতারা এক মাইল দূরে সরে যায়”। (বাংলাদেশ ইসলামিক সেন্টার কর্তৃক প্রকাশিত জামে আত তিরমিযী,৩য় খণ্ড,হাদীস নং ১৯২২)
ইমাম আলী আঃ বলেছেন: “মানুষ ঈমানের স্বাদ গ্রহণ করতে পারে না যতক্ষণ পর্যন্ত সে মিথ্যাকে পরিহার করতে পারে স্বাভাবিক অবস্থায়, এমনকি কৌতুকরত অবস্থায়”। (নাহজুল বালাগা)
ইমাম সাজ্জাদ আঃ স্বীয় পুত্রকে বলেন: “ছোট ও বড় মিথ্যা, প্রকৃত মিথ্যা এবং ঠাট্টা করে মিথ্যা বলা হতে বিরত থাক। কেননা, মানুষ যখন ছোট একটি বিষয়ে মিথ্যা বলে, বড় মিথ্যা বলার দুঃসাহস তার সৃষ্টি হয়”। (বিহারুল আনওয়ার,৭২তম খণ্ড,পৃ. ২৪৯; মুনতাখাবে মিযানুল হিকমাহ্,পৃ. ২৮৬,হাদীস নং ৫৪৬০)
ইমাম আসকারী আঃ বলেছেন: “যদি সকল শয়তানী কাজ এক ঘরে অবস্থান করে, তবে তার চাবি হলো মিথ্যাবাদিতা”। (বিহারুল আনওয়ার,৭২তম খণ্ড,পৃ. ২৬২; মুনতাখাবে মিযানুল হিকমাহ্,হাদীস নং ৫৪৫৬)
ছোট মিথ্যা:
আসমা বিনতে ইয়াযীদ রসূলুল্লাহ্ সঃকে প্রশ্ন করেন- যদি আমাদের মধ্য হতে কেউ কোন কিছুর প্রতি আগ্রহ বোধ করে (খাওয়ার প্রতি), এবং সে বলে যে, আগ্রহ নেই, তাহলে সেটা কি মিথ্যা হিসাবে পরিগণিত হবে?
রসুলুল্লাহ বললেন- “মিথ্যাকে মিথ্যাই লেখা হবে, এমনকি ছোট মিথ্যাগুলোকে ছোট মিথ্যা হিসাবেই লেখা হবে”। (আত তারগীব ওয়াত তারহীব,৩য় খণ্ড,পৃ. ৯৭; মুনতাখাবে মিযানুল হিকমাহ,পৃ. ৪৮৬,হাদীস নং ৫৪৬২)
সত্যবাদী ও মিথ্যাবাদীর বৈশিষ্ট্য:
মনীষিগণ সত্যবাদীর বৈশিষ্ট্য হিসাবে যে বিষয়গুলো উল্লেখ করেছেন সেগুলো হল: সাহসিকতা, স্পষ্টবাদিতা,vলোভহীনতা, নিষ্ঠা, গোঁড়ামি না থাকা এবং অতিরিক্ত আবেগ (রাগ এবং অনুরাগ) না থাকা।
এর বিপরীতে একজন মিথ্যাবাদী ভীরু হয়ে থাকে। তার সব কথার মধ্যে অস্পষ্টতা পরিলক্ষিত হয়। সে লোভী হয় এবং তার মধ্যে কপটতা, গোঁড়ামি ও অতিরিক্ত আবেগ দেখা যায়।
আর মিথ্যাবাদিতা ঈমানের সাথে খাপ খায় না। রসূলুল্লাহ্ সঃ বলেন: “মুনাফিকের আলামত তিনটি: যখন সে কথা বলে, মিথ্যা বলে; ওয়াদা করলে ভঙ্গ করে এবং তার নিকট আমানত রাখা হলে খেয়ানত করে”। (আধুনিক প্রকাশনী কর্তৃক প্রকাশিত সহীহ আল বুখারী,৫ম খণ্ড,হাদীস নং ৫৬৫৫)
মিথ্যা বলার কার:
১. মিথ্যা বলার মূল কারণ হল ঈমানের দুর্বলতা।
২. গোঁড়ামির কারণে মানুষ মিথ্যা কথা বলে।
৩. অতিরিক্ত রাগ ও অনুরাগের বশবর্তী হয়েও মানুষ মিথ্যা কথা বলে।
৪. নিজের প্রতি অন্যদের আকর্ষণ করার জন্য মানুষ মিথ্যা কথা বলে।
৫. কেউ কেউ নিজেকে বড় বলে জাহির করার জন্য মিথ্যা বলে।
মিথ্যার কুফল:
১. মিথ্যা বলার ফলে সমাজে কপটতা প্রসার লাভ করে। কারণ,সকল প্রকার কপটতার উৎস হল মিথ্যাবাদিতা।
২. অন্য অনেক বড় গুনাহের উপকরণ হল মিথ্যাবাদিতা। যেমন খেয়ানত,গুজব ছড়ানো,মাপে কম দেয়া,চুক্তি ভঙ্গ করা।
৩. একটি মিথ্যা অনেক মিথ্যার জন্ম দেয়। কারণ,একটি মিথ্যাকে প্রতিষ্ঠা করতে আরও অনেক মিথ্যা কথা বলতে হয়।
৪. যারা মিথ্যা কথা বলে তারা অন্যদেরও একই রকম মিথ্যাবাদী মনে করে। ফলে সমাজে আস্থাহীনতার সৃষ্টি হয়। এমনকি মিথ্যাবাদী নিজের ওপর থেকেও আস্থা হারিয়ে ফেলে।
৫. মিথ্যাবাদী সত্যকে গ্রহণ করার মানসিকতা হারিয়ে ফেলে।
৬. মিথ্যাবাদীর দায়িত্বজ্ঞান লোপ পায়।
৭. মিথ্যাবাদীদের সম্মান না থাকায় সে নির্লজ্জের মতো যে কোন ধরনের কাজে লিপ্ত হয়। এতে সমাজে বিশৃঙ্খলার সৃষ্টি হয়।
৮. মিথ্যাবাদী তার মিথ্যা প্রকাশ হয়ে পড়ার আশংকায় সবসময় মানসিকভাবে অস্বস্তিতে ভোগে।
৯. সর্বোপরি মিথ্যাবাদী আল্লাহ্র রহমত ও হেদায়াত থেকে বঞ্চিত। পবিত্র কুরআনে বলা হয়েছে: “নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ্ মিথ্যাবাদী কাফিরকে সৎপথে পরিচালিত করেন না”। (সূরা যুমার, আয়াত- ৩)
মিথ্যা থেকে মুক্ত হওয়ার উপায়:
১. উপদেশ ও নসিহত : যদি মানুষকে উপদেশ প্রদানের মাধ্যমে মিথ্যার পরিণাম সম্পর্কে সচেতন করে তোলা যায় তবে মিথ্যা থেকে মুক্ত থাকা সম্ভব হবে। তাকে এটা বোঝানো দরকার যে,মিথ্যা বলে কেউ কোনদিন মুক্তি পায়নি। একদিন মিথ্যা প্রকাশিত হয়ে পড়ে। আর তখন মানুষ সামাজিকভাবে অপদস্থ হয়। তাকে আরও বোঝানো দরকার যে,মিথ্যার কুফল কেবল মানুষের ইহকালের সাথেই সম্পর্কিত নয়;বরং এর কারণে মানুষ আখেরাতে চূড়ান্ত ক্ষতির সম্মুখীন হবে। অর্থাৎ মিথ্যা পরিত্যাগ না করলে তাকে জাহান্নামে যেতে হবে। পুনঃপুন নসিহত করার মাধ্যমে মানুষ মিথ্যা হতে বাঁচতে পারে।
২. নিজের অবস্থান সম্পর্কে সচেতন হওয়া : যদি মানুষ নিজের সামাজিক অবস্থান সম্পর্কে সচেতন হয় তবে সে নিজের মিথ্যা পরিচয় দেওয়া থেকে বিরত থাকবে।
৩. সত্যকে গ্রহণ করার মানসিকতা তৈরি করা : জীবনের প্রতিটি ক্ষেত্রে সত্যকে গ্রহণ করার মানসিকতা তৈরি করার মাধ্যমে মিথ্যা থেকে দূরে থাকা সম্ভব।
৪. মিথ্যাবাদীদের সাথে সম্পর্কচ্ছেদ : যদি মিথ্যাবাদীদেরকে বিরত থাকার জন্য নসিহত করা সত্ত্বেও তারা মিথ্যা পরিত্যাগ না করে তবে তাদের সাথে সম্পর্কচ্ছেদ করার মাধ্যমে মিথ্যা থেকে মুক্ত থাকা সম্ভব।
কোন ক্ষেত্রে মিথ্যা বলা জায়েয:
১. তাক্বিয়া: ইসলামে একান্ত আবশ্যক ক্ষেত্রে মিথ্যা বলার অনুমতি দেয়া হয়েছে। যেমন জীবন বাঁচানোর জন্য এবং দুই পক্ষের ঝগড়া মেটাতে।
ইমাম জাফর সাদিক আঃ বলেছেন: “মিথ্যার নিন্দা করা হয়েছে, কিন্তু দু’টি স্থান ব্যতীত। অত্যাচারীদের অকল্যাণ হতে বাঁচার জন্য এবং মানুষের মাঝে বন্ধুত্ব স্থাপন করার জন্য [কলহ মেটানোর জন্য]” (বিহারুল আনওয়ার,৭২তম খণ্ড,পৃ. ২৬৩)
২. তাওরীয়া: এমন কথাকে তাওরীয়া বলা হয় যার মধ্যে দু’টি অর্থ থাকে। এর দ্বারা বক্তা একটি ভাবার্থ গ্রহণ করে এবং শ্রোতা অন্যরূপ ভাবার্থ গ্রহণ করে। এক্ষেত্রে বক্তার উদ্দেশ্য থাকে সে মিথ্যা থেকে বেঁচে থাকতে চায়, কিন্তু প্রতিপক্ষ এর দ্বারা বিভ্রান্ত হবে। অর্থাৎ সুদূর প্রসারী নেক উদ্দেশ্যের সার্থে সত্য কথা দ্বারাই কাউকে বিভ্রান্ত করা হল তাওরীয়া। একান্ত আবশ্যক ক্ষেত্রে ইসলামে একে জায়েয করা হয়েছে।
উপসংহার:
রসূলুল্লাহ্ সঃএর নিকট মিথ্যার চেয়ে অধিক ঘৃণিত স্বভাব আর কিছুই ছিল না। কোন ব্যক্তি তাঁর সামনে মিথ্যা কথা বললে সেই বিষয়টি তাঁর স্মরণে থাকত যতক্ষণ না তিনি জানতে পারতেন যে, মিথ্যাবাদী তার মিথ্যা কথন থেকে তওবা করেছে”। (বাংলাদেশ ইসলামিক সেন্টার কর্তৃক প্রকাশিত জামে আত তিরমিযী,৩য় খণ্ড,হাদীস নং ১৯২৩)
আর ইমাম আলী আঃ মিথ্যাবাদীদের সাথে বন্ধুত্ব স্থাপন করা থেকে বিরত থাকতে বলেছেন। তিনি বলেন: “মিথ্যাবাদীদের সাথে বন্ধুত্ব স্থাপন হতে বিরত থাক। কারণ, সে হল লক্ষ্যহীন, সে দূরের জিনিস কাছে দেখাবে এবং কাছের জিনিস দূরে দেখাবে”। (নাহজুল বালাগাহ্, কালিমাতুল কিসার)
