বাংলা অনুবাদঃ

“যিনি (সাধনায়) পূর্ণতার শেষ প্রান্তে পৌঁছেছেন,
যাঁর সৌন্দর্যের আলোকে দুর হয়েছে অন্ধকার,
যাঁর আচরণ– ব্যবহার ছিল সৌন্দর্যের আকর,
দরুদ তাঁর ও তাঁর আলের উপর।”

বালাগা= পৌঁছানো ।
কামালিহী= পূর্ণতা, পরিপূর্ণতা।
জামালিহী= তাঁর সৌন্দর্য।
খিসালিহী= তাঁর আচরণ– ব্যবহার, চরিত্র।

ইতিহাস থেকে জানা যায়,-
হযরত শেখ সাদী (রহঃ) এই দরুদ শরীফের প্রথম দু’লাইন লেখার পর কি লিখবেন তা তিনি ভাবতে ভাবতে হঠাৎ তন্দ্রাছন্ন ভাব আসলে স্বপ্ন দিদারে তিনি রাসুল (সাঃ) এর যিয়ারত পান। প্রিয় নবীজী (সাঃ) তখন সাদী (রহঃ) কে বলেন –হে সাদী ! তুমি লিখ –

হাসুনাত জামিউ খিসালিহী,
সাল্লু আলাইহি ওয়া আলিহী।
